www.rub-on-transfer.com offers several types of Custom Rub on Transfers.
Each Rub Down Transfer System offers distinct differences and advantages.

The four types of custom Dry Transfer Systems are NoTone, PhotoTone, Foil and Pixel.

In addition to the four types of standard custom Dry Transfer Systems offered by rub-on-transfer.com,
a hybrid transfer sheet incorporating the properties of the different systems can be combined on one sheet,
all of which gives you the edge that other suppliers may not be able to offer.

NoTone Characteristics

Almost any color can be matched including Pantone spot colors, metallics, fluorescents pearlescents.

The NoTone dry transfer system is better suited for Matte and Gloss varnish effects.

The NoTone system is not ideal for Foil and Chrome colors,

The NoTone Dry Transfer System produces a custom transfer with a Semi Gloss finish.

The  NoTone transfer sheet allows for a multi-purpose adhesive that adheres to even the most troublesome surfaces and has an extended shelf life.

Only the image on a NoTone transfer sheet is tacky. The sheet itself is not tacky which makes it a good choice for extremely delicate surfaces.
The NoTone dry transfer system is not ideal for gradients of colors.

Images should be solids only as it can be difficult to transfer large amounts of small details.

NoTone Custom Rub Down transfer sheets with multiple colors in register have a greater risk that small details maybe broken during the multi color processing.

NoTone Custom Rub Down transfers are opaque by default or can be transparent.

PhotoTone Characteristics

Most colors can be matched with the PhotoTone Dry Transfer System, including Pantone spot colors, Metallics and Chrome

The system is not ideal for Foil, Fluorescents and Pearlescents.

 

A gloss finish is standard for  PhotoTone rub on transfers.

The PhotoTone Dry Transfer sheet requires the use of a less aggressive adhesive which adheres to most surfaces.

The PhotoTone Transfer sheet has a slight tack that will not damage most delicate surfaces or peel off prior applied transfers.

 

The PhotoTone Dry Transfer System is designed for small details and photographic images and gradients.

PhotoTone rub down transfers are transparent by default.

To make the image opaque the application of white is a second color process.

 

Foil Characteristics

 

Foil transfers are produced from pre-colored foil sheets.

There are many colors available.

The Foil dry transfer system is used when an absolute mirror finish is required.

A foil transfer is capable of a perfect mirror finish that is not quite possible with a custom color chrome transfer.

It is used to replicate colors Hot Stamp foil colors.

The colors are determined by the availability of pre colored sheets.
